Polymer Clay: Making Color Blends

Tuesday | May 22, 2018 | 6:30 PM - May 22, 2018 18:30:00 | 16+

Polymer clay is a very versitile material that can be used to make anything from jewelry to sculpture. A remarkable feature of polymer clay is the ability to blend one color into another very gradually and beautifully--for example, red through various shades of orange all the way to yellow, or blue to green to purple to white. Learn how to make these blends by hand and with a pasta machine. If there's time you will be able to make something with your blends, or take them home and finish them there. You will need to bake your clay to harden it before it's usable. We will not be doing that part in the class.

In order to have space for everyone, Mystic Makerspace asks individuals to register for no more than 2 classes per quarter.  This does not apply to drop in classes. You can be added to the waitlist for an additional class by emailing  We will notify you if there is space.

Registration is required to attend this event.  Please register through the Library's calendar here or call 781-395-7950.  All events are held at the Medford Public Library unless noted otherwise.

We are a project of the Medford Arts Center, Inc, a registered 501(c)3 organization, and our programs are made possible thanks to a grant by the Medford Arts Council, and an amazing donation made by the family of Betty Sue Clark. Mystic Makerspace is currently using space at the Medford Public Library for programming.
